Slaughter Welcomes President Obama to Western New York on Thursday to Talk Jobs

May 2010

Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (NY-28) said she is delighted to welcome her friend President Obama to Buffalo a week from today, Thursday, May 13.

“I can’t think of a better place for the President to talk about creating jobs than Western New York, and I’m looking forward to joining him,” said Slaughter. “When we talk about putting Americans back to work, Western New York is the place to have that discussion. We know the workforce of Western New York is unparalleled in their work ethic and we’ve got the expertise and resources to really grow.”

Obama will be in Buffalo as part of his White House to Main Street tour. While in the Queen City he will meet with workers, small business owners, and local leaders to share ideas for continuing to grow the economy and to put Americans back to work. More details will be released as they become available.

“I’m sure he likes wings,” Slaughter added. “Who wouldn’t?”
