$183,000 Research Grant for University of Buffalo

Funds will Go Towards Infectious Disease Research

Washington – Rep. Louise M. Slaughter (D-Fairport), Ranking Member of the House Rules Committee, is pleased to announce that the University of Buffalo is set to receive a grant of $183,000 from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

The grant will help fund research efforts at the University related to microbiology and infectious disease research.

“This is another great opportunity for the University of Buffalo and for clinical research in general,” Rep. Slaughter commented. She continued, “I hope this well deserved grant will advance our local scientific community and help the University expand its research capabilities, providing more well paying jobs to the region.”
