Louise has represented New York’s 28th District in Congress since 1986. In 2002 it was redrawn and now includes parts of Erie County, Monroe County, Niagara County, and Orleans County.
The 28th district is as diverse as the many wonderful communities and people that comprise it. Parts of Buffalo and Rochester, the second and third largest cities in New York, are joined by all or part of Appleton, Barker, Brighton, Burt, East Rochester, Fairport, Grand Island, Greece, Hamlin, Hilton, Holley, Irondequoit, Kendall, Kent, Lewiston, Lyndonville, Model City, Morton, Newfane, Niagara Falls, Olcott, Penfield, Perinton, Ransomville, Sanborn, Stella Niagara, City of Tonawanda, Town of Tonawanda, Waterport, Wilson, and Youngstown come together forming the slender district which borders Lake Ontario on its north and Canada on its west.
